NOW: CJ Carr earns highest PFF quarterback grade in Notre Dame history

SOUTH BEND, Ind. --  Notre Dame finally got in the win column on Saturday, rolling past Purdue 56–30. The Irish are now back in the AP Top 25 at No. 22, with a trip to Arkansas up next.

The headline from the weekend? Quarterback CJ Carr. The freshman completed 10 of 12 passes for 223 yards, no interceptions, and earned the highest grade ever given to a Notre Dame quarterback by Pro Football Focus.

But Carr didn’t do it alone. The Irish offense piled up 535 total yards, averaging nearly 8.5 yards per play. The offensive line set the tone, clearing the way for 254 rushing yards. Jeremiyah Love led the ground attack with 157 yards and two touchdowns, including a 46-yard run. Jadarian Price added 74 yards, three scores, and even a 100-yard kickoff return.

The Irish offense exploded for big plays of 46, 48, 66, and 100 yards—proving how dangerous this unit can be when the guys up front take control.

Notre Dame’s defense is still searching for answers, but for now, the offense—and CJ Carr’s record-breaking performance—are carrying the Irish forward.
