Clinton supports same-sex marriage rights

Hillary Clinton spoke out Monday supporting marriage rights for same-sex couples.

She voiced her support in a video by the Human Rights Campaign, a gay rights advocacy group.

In the video, Clinton says gays and lesbians are full and equal citizens.

She also says they deserve the rights of citizenship including marriage.

"LGBT Americans are our colleagues, our teachers, our soldiers, our friends, our loved ones and they are full and equal citizens and deserve the rights of citizenship. That includes marriage," said Clinton.

She previously backed civil unions and partner benefits for same sex couples but Clinton had stopped short of a full endorsement for marriage.
