Any icy start to 2021. Freezing rain spreads south to north across the area, starting around 9:00 a.m. The most widespread and worse driving conditions will be midday, with a slow improvement by late afternoon. The highest impact will be south of US-30 where the freezing rain starts the earliest, and lasts the longest. Extreme caution should be used if traveling, staying home being the best option. Power outage are possible but may not be widespread, keep your phone charged. The weekend and beyond is pretty mundane for early January, with no sign of extreme cold or snow.
Tonight: Partly cloudy. Low 24.
New Year's Day: Freezing rain, then rain. High 34.
Saturday: Mostly cloudy. High 38.
Sunday: Mostly cloudy. High 38.
