College Football Hall of Fame enshrinement this weekend

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- It's enshrinement week for the College Football Hall of Fame.

The official enshrinement is Friday and Saturday, but people are already in town for the big event.

The hall of fame is hosting all kinds of events leading up to the enshrinement.

Some of the events this week include a rib cook off, pep rally, music and activities all day Friday with fireworks in the evening. The enshrinement dinner and show is set for Saturday.

"This is going to be great year, there's a whole lot of enshrinees from the greater Midwest area so we are really excited about their coming in and their family and friends that support them," Mikki Dobski, executive director of the hall of fame, said. "This is a time for the national spotlight to really shine on South Bend, so we are very excited."

This year's class includes Deion Sanders, Eddie George and coach Lloyd Carr.

This year's enshrinement could be the last in South Bend. The hall of fame is set to move to Atlanta but a final date hasn't been set.
