SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Dozens of attendees showed up to honor a local two-year-old who died unexpectedly earlier this month.
Attendees are looking for answers as to what happened and asking for a thorough investigation into the situation.
The family of Haylee Shreve confirmed that the toddler was found dead on East Jennings Street in South Bend.
The family is happy with the outcome of Saturday’s march in solidarity with Haylee's family.
“It makes me feel very happy and I’m sure Haylee’s looking down on all of us and smiling with her bright smile,” said Ashley Hartman, a cousin of Haylee Shreve.
An autopsy was conducted earlier this month, but the manner and cause of death have not been released due to pending toxicology results and other studies being performed.
