NILES, Mich. -- A protest occurred at the intersection of Main and 11th street with protestors petitioning for property taxes to be revoked in Michigan.
Protestors say it is difficult for fixed and low-income families to afford property tax.
Veterans also have to be nearly 100% disabled to become exempt from property tax.
The group is seeking 600,000 signatures on the petition.
