ELKHART, Ind. – Students at Concord Junior High School broke their own record by raising $51,270 for their 2022 Make-A-Wish campaign.

The junior high school has been raising funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundation biennially since 1995.

Proceeds from the 2022 campaign will benefit two local students, 11-year-old Jack and 14-year-old Reed.

Fundraising activities began on March 4 and ended Wednesday. Students and staff raised money through a number of events, like a 5K run, candy sales, and penny wars.

Several other buildings in Concord Community Schools supported the junior high by raising money and donating their proceeds to the school.

Since 1995, the school has raised a total of $481,514.10 for Make-A-Wish.
