Congressman Walberg seeks student entries for 2026 Congressional Art Competition
Congressman Tim Walberg WASHINGTON DC -- Congressman Tim Walberg is looking for submissions from high school students in the fifth Congressional District for the 2026 Congressional Art Competition.
The theme for this year will be America 250.
The winning piece of artwork will be displayed in the Cannon Tunnel to the US Capitol, along with the winners from the other congressional districts across the country.
Guideline:
On July 4, the nation will commemorate and celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. This year, Congressman Walberg is asking artists to reflect on our nation's history and what, America 250, means to them — from historic moments and uniquely American symbolism to shared values and ideals. All submissions must fit within the artist's interpretation of the theme.
Entries should be photographed and emailed with a typed copy of the 2026 Student Release form to [email protected] by midnight on Friday, Mar. 28.
