STARKE COUNTY, Ind. – The new Starke County Veterans War memorial construction is still on schedule.
The Veterans War memorial is being built on the Southeast corner of the Starke County Courthouse square in Knox.
According to officials about $66,000 was raised locally for the project, and the Indiana Community and Housing Development Authority will match $50,000.
The memorial will feature the names of fallen Starke County soldiers dating back to the Civil War.
The memorial is on track to be completed by Veterans Day on November 11.
