Country singer's bus hits and kills pedestrian

KNOX COUNTY, Ind. — Country singer Jason Aldean's tour bus hit and killed a pedestrian early Monday morning in Knox County, Indiana.

According to a spokesperson for Aldean, he was the only person in the bus.

Police say the victim walked out onto the highway and was hit. They also say they are familiar with the victim.

"We would receive calls from time to time from him walking on the highway, which at that point is not illegal," said Knox County Sheriff Mike Morris. "It's not an interstate highway so it is legal at the point and our deputies would contact him.

Aldean was on his way to Illinois when the accident happened.

In a statement on the country singer's Twitter: Aldean says he is praying for the victim's family and friends.
