Couple arrested on drug charges in Marshall County

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. - The Marshall County Sheriff's Department reports on Monday, June 3, around 2:48 p.m., a 911 call came in about a suspicious man inside a residence on Sage Trail.

Authorities say the man then left the home and was followed by the 911 caller until a Marshal County Officer stopped the man.

The report states the subsequent investigation with assistance from the Marshall County Drug Task Force located numerous syringes, synthetic marijuana, heroin, and methamphetamine.

Along with the man, identified as 41-year-old Avery A. Mullin Jr. of Knox, a woman, identified as 33-year-old Chelsea M. Schuchardt of Knox, was arrested on charges of possession of hypodermic needles, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of methamphetamine.

Both were taken to the Marshall County Jail and given a $3,000 bond.

Authorities say they also found that Schuchardt had a warrant through Starke County.
