CULVER, Ind. -- With warmer weather in view, the town of Culver will be having some upcoming community cleanup events.

Ongoing - Leaf Pickup

• The leaf truck will make rounds in Culver as time permits and leaf piles accumulate. Please rake leaves to the curb, not into the street. Keep sticks out of leaf piles, as they are collected separately. Leaf piles containing sticks will not be picked up.

Week of April 6 - Hydrant Flushing

• Hydrant flushing is routine maintenance that removes sediment from water lines and improves water flow. During this process, water may appear discolored. While safe for consumption, you may want to avoid washing white laundry during this time. If your water is discolored, run the faucet for a few minutes until it clears.

April 24 and 25 - Townwide Garage Sale

• If you plan to host a sale and want to be included on the map, email your information to [email protected]. Please include your name, sale address, days you will be open, and a brief description of items for sale. You may also call Town Hall at (574) 842-3140. Information must be received by 4 p.m. on April 21.

May 11 - Townwide Cleanup Pickup Day

• Place items for disposal at the curb on May 9 and 10. The utilities crew will collect items on May 11. Please secure any items that could blow away. Tires and hazardous waste will not be accepted.
