Latin Expo helps small businesses branch out
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Dan Magennis of Grand Rapids was on the phone with Comcast when he suddenly suffered a stroke. That was when a customer service representative took action and called 911.
Magennis called the company because he was having issues with his cable on Tuesday.
Kimberly Williams was the representative on the phone with Magennis. She said that she was able to get Magennis’ name before his words became unintelligible.
Williams said she recognized the symptoms of a stroke in Magennis before contacting dispatchers in Walker, Michigan.
Magennis was taken to Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital, and within an hour of arriving, doctors were able to repair the clogged artery that caused the stroke.
