Deputies arrest man on drug charges after welfare check
Early Wednesday morning, Elkhart County Sheriff's deputies arrested two people after conducting a welfare check on a resident.
Deputies responded to 27306 Kesler Avenue just before 2 a.m. Wednesday morning to conduct a welfare check.
While inside the residence, deputies saw drug paraphernalia.
They obtained a search warrant and located methamphetamine, hypodermic needles, drug paraphernalia and a synthetic drug, according to deputies.
Shannon Swindle, 30, was arrested and charged with maintaining a common nuisance, possession of methamphetamine, illegal possession of a hypodermic needle, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a synthetic look alike drug.
Ladrew Taylor was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of visiting a common nuisance.
