Deputies investigating suspicious death of 6-week-old child

HAGAR TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- First responders were called to a home in the 3900 block of Fikes Road early Thursday morning in response to an infant not breathing.
When first responders arrived, they determined the 6-week-old child was deceased.
The Berrien County Sheriff’s Office is conducting an investigation.
An autopsy is scheduled for Friday at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker School of Medicine.
