Deputies say: La Porte deputy shared bed with boy & had child porn

La Porte County, IN - A La Porte County Sheriff's deputy is accused of having child porn and sharing his bed with a young boy.

According to the Herald Argus Newspaper in La Porte, Deputies said that David Oldham, 42, shared his bed on more than one occasion with a 12-year-old boy who lived in the neighborhood.

The chilling details came to light in court Wednesday for Oldham's initial hearing.

According to court documents Oldham was also in possession of more than 70 images and videos of young children taking part in sexual activities.

Investigators said that Oldham started a relationship with the 12-year-old boy that started out by teaching him how to play basketball.

They add that he started spending the night at his residence and sometimes sleeping in his master bedroom with the door locked while his wife slept in another room.

The residence for Oldham is reported to be on the 4000 blocked of West Andrea Drive.

According to court documents Oldham denies having any sexual conduct with the child.

Oldham is on administrative leave during the investigation.
