Deputies searching for missing, endangered adult

DOWAGIAC, Mich. -- Deputies are asking for the public's help locating a 78-year-old man who has been reported missing and endangered.

The Cass County Sheriff's Office said family members last saw Larry Waldschmidt working in the yard around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at a home in the 2400 block of Jefferson Street in Dowagiac.

It appears he got into a white 2002 Ford Escape with a handicap license plate ARW421 .

Family members say he has Alzheimer's and is dependent on insulin.

Waldschmidt was wearing a pair of gray sweat pants and a gray sweatshirt with black tennis shoes.
