Deputies searching for missing, possibly abducted woman

LAGRANGE COUNTY, Ind. -- The LaGrange Sheriff's Department is searching for a woman who is missing and may have been abducted from Peru, Indiana.



Jennifer Lee Bitzel was last seen September 18th at approximately 10:30 p.m. at a home in the 3000 block of CR600 East in LaGrange County.



At that home, Bitzel was allegedly the victim of a battery and then was forcefully removed from the home by a man who made death threats against her.



She allegedly was forced into a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix, four door, bearing Indiana registration 543AIB.



Bitzel's two young children were left at the home.



Steven Gail Gose is wanted for questioning.



Bitzel has been known to stay at low-cost hotels in northern Indiana.
