Detroit faces money woes, seeks state's help

DETROIT -- Detroit may soon be out of money unless the state helps the financially strapped city.

City leaders claim that the state of Michigan owes the city more than $220 million from a revenue sharing agreement. The city has filed a lawsuit against the state.

The state treasurer denies it owes the city the money. The state also refuses to help the city unless the lawsuit is dropped.
