Starke County face-to-face with severe weather
Temperatures significantly below average through the weekend, with light snow chances as we head into the upcoming week. After waking up to a dusting this morning, most of Michiana stays dry this weekend, with a predominantly westerly flow over the lake. This does bring some lake effect snow chances through Saturday night and into Sunday for Berrien County with some areas, particularly northern, adding around 3 inches of snow to what's already on the ground. Widespread snow for Michiana Sunday night into MLK Jr. Day, fairly light. The biggest thing to note at the start of the week is going to be another drop in temperatures, highs in the low teens, lows approaching zero stepping out the door Tuesday morning. We do warm up, with some more snow chances in the middle of the week.
Today: Cold, breezy, some sun. High 20.
Tonight: Mostly cloudy, breezy, frigid. Low 8.
Sunday: Gathering clouds, some PM snow showers, cold. High 18.
MLK Jr. Day: Snow likely, breezy, frigid. High 12.
