NOW: Donations help New Carlisle Fire Department install 2 new AED Save Stations

NEW CARLISLE, Ind. -- The New Carlisle Fire Department announced on social media that through multiple donations, they were able to successfully install two news Automated External Defibrillators at two local spots this past weekend.

"Thanks to generous grants from Amazon Community Grant, NIPSCO, and Wolverine Pipeline, these lifesaving stations are now part of our community," a NCFD spokesperson said.

"They've also been added to the PulsePoint app, which will notify CPR-trained individuals if someone nearby needs help."

One of the Save Stations is located outside the fire station at 204 E. Michigan St and is accessible to residents and visitors in the greater downtown area, even when crews are out of the station.

The second is located at Monroes' Crossing (7038 N. Chicago Road, Hudson Township).

"Chosen due to its high summer traffic and in partnership with Monroes'," the spokesperson said.

The NCFD also offers regular CPR classes.
