Don't drive or boat while drinking

INDIANA -- The Coast Guard and the police want to remind you if you have a drink in your hand, hand over the keys.

The St Joseph Station has been out on Lake Michigan keeping an eye on boaters.

It is legal to have alcohol on board your boat but illegal to drink and operate a boat above the legal level of .10.

And it is not just drinking and boating police are worried about, but also drinking and driving.

Michigan's drive sober or get pulled over campaign is in full swing.

Extra officers and troopers are out on the roads watching for drunk drivers.

Officers want to remind you to make sure you have a designated driver or call a cab if you are impaired.
