DOWAGIAC, Mich. -- The Dowagiac Police Department reports officers along with Cass the County Drug Enforcement Team and the St. Joseph Valley Special Response Team executed a search warrant around noon, Tuesday, for firearms and narcotics possession and sales.

The report states officers found firearms, ammunition, and firearms accessories, along with narcotics and narcotics paraphernalia inside the home in the 100 block of Halstead Street.

Police say a 37-year-old Dowagiac man was arrested and charged with Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Ammunition.

Police say the man was also found to have outstanding warrants from the Dowagiac police and in Cass County.

All charges are pending authorization by the Cass County Prosecutor’s Office.

The suspect's name is withheld pending his arraignment in court.
