GARY, Ind. -- According to the Michigan State Police, an I-65 cattle hauler was tipped on Friday morning on the ramp to I-80/94 near Gary.
The trailer was carrying dozens of cows, many of them calves, that were corralled at the crash scene.
The Northwest Indiana Times is reporting one cow was killed in the crash, one had to be euthanized, and two others were injured.
Cleanup at the scene continues this afternoon, and crews are reporting they are hopeful to have the road back open by 5 p.m. EDT.
