Driver cited in Friday morning Elkhart County crash involving four vehicles
ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- The Elkhart County Sheriff's Office responded to a four-vehicle crash around 7 a.m. this morning where a driver was cited and sent to the hospital for medical treatment.
Authorities say 59-year-old Goshen woman Karolyn Phillipp was driving a 2018 Ford Escape on C.R. 40 when she disregarded a stop sign and attempted to cross the intersection of S.R. 119.
That is when she collided with a 2019 Mitsubishi Eclipse that was going southwest on S.R. 119. The Eclipse was pushed into a 2020 Jeep Wrangler that was sitting idle at the intersection, intending to cross S.R. 119 to the east.
The Eclipse was pushed further west on C.R. 40 where it crashed into another vehicle, a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado.
Phillipp was taken to Goshen Hospital for the complaint of neck pain and issued a citation for disregarding a stop sign.
No other drivers or passengers were injured in the crash.
