Dyngus Day celebrations in Michiana

This traditional Polish holiday celebrates the end of the Lenten season. But it's also a time for politicians to get ready for the upcoming primary elections.

Republicans and Democrats celebrated separately Monday morning but after that they hit the beer and Polish sausage trail together.

Representative Jackie Walorski was attending a Republican pancake breakfast at Honkers in Mishawaka while Senator Joe Donnelly and Mayor Pete attended various events in South Bend including the West Side Democratic and Civic Club.
