Earthquake rattles northern California

GREENVILLE, Calif. — A magnitude 5.7 earthquake rattled northern California Thursday evening. The quake was centered near Greenville which is about two hours from Reno, Nevada.

Police say there are no reports of injuries or serious damage.

Thousands of people reported feeling the quake as far away as the San Francisco Bay area and across the Oregon border.

So far, there have been eight aftershocks ranging from 2.6 to 3.5 magnitude.
