Easter Egg Hunt returns for 15th year in Elkhart

The 100 Black Sons Initiative

ELKHART, Ind. -- The 100 Black Sons Initiative announced that the 15th annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held Sunday at Ben Barnes Park.

"The Bigger is Better Peggy Curry Thomas Easter Egg Hunt" will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday at Ben Barnes Park at 1318 South 6th Street.

The 15th annual Easter Egg Hunt is in honor of Miss Peggy Curry Thomas, a community member who passed away in 2025.

The 100 Black Sons Initiative recommends arriving at the Easter Egg Hunt early and for children to bring their own egg-collecting baskets. Additionally, they say that every child who attends the event will be given a personal bag of candy.

The Easter Egg Hunt is hoping to stuff the park with over 20,000 eggs through the help of donations and volunteers. Such donations can be made by calling (574) 226-4328.
