Elementary school employee arrested

A Mishawaka Elementary School employee has been arrested and charged, but the charges and the name of the employee have not been released.

The district confirmed Wednesday, that a support staff worker, who was assigned to Lasalle Elementary School, was arrested but it was not related to that employee's work with students.

The worker's name has not yet been released.

The person has been placed on paid leave during the investigation.
