ELKHART, Ind. -- On Tuesday, Jan. 13, the Elkhart Area Career Center held a grand opening of a new health and strength center for student athletes at Elkhart High School.
The expansion serves as a multi-purpose space for community events, student workouts, crime scene simulations, law enforcement training, and staff development supported by the school district and community partners.
This significant investment in education provides valuable opportunities for students to be practical and professional.
Brian Buckley, Athletic Director, stated, "Yeah, you know, this is super important, because we're trying to build the whole body. You heard Dr. Huff say it it's important to not only educate and train the mind and work on the heart, but you also have to work on the physical part of your body. And this gives every kid an opportunity to be able to do those things."
