Elkhart Common Council approves annexation of area 7

The Elkhart Common Council approved annexation for area 7, the area known as Mishawaka Road and SR 19, at their meeting Monday.
The settlement agreement includes the annexation of 132 of the original 375 parcels.
Mayor Tim Neese says the annexation area will generate $1.1 million in property tax revenue.
The settlement agreement will now be submitted to the court for approval.
