Elkhart Community Schools place administrator on leave during investigation

Elkhart Community School officials say they've placed Assistant Superintendent of Instruction Brad Sheppard on administrative leave.

Sheppard appeared in an Accuracy in Media report earlier this week about the teaching of critical race theory concepts in Indiana schools.

According to Media Bias/ Fact Check... Accuracy in Media is an organization with a strong bias for conservative values.

In the report teachers and administrators across Indiana claimed they taught the concepts but didn't label it as critical race theory or other titles that would draw attention to it.

Elkhart Community Schools does not allow the teaching of critical race theory.

The school system has requested all the video shot by Accuracy in Media to determine if anything was taken out of context.

Sheppard will remain on leave until the investigation is over.
