Elkhart County Humane Society create a cat adoption special for May to help with overcrowding

BRISTOL, Ind. -- The Elkhart County Humane Shelter is requesting help to get the word out about their cat adoption special.

From their Facebook post: "We are FULL of cats — and we need your help. This week alone, 59 cats have come into the shelter as strays, and we are officially out of space. Because of this, we are launching our Purr-Fect Match Adoption Special to help more cats find homes fast!

If you’ve been thinking about adding a cat to your home, now is the perfect time. Adult cats are amazing companions — many are already litterbox trained, settled into their personalities, and just waiting for someone to love them."

The Purr-Fect Match Adoption Special, for all cats 6-months and older, includes waived adoption fees, a free cardboard cat carrier, and a free gift card for pet supply purchases.

Adoptable cats are already spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines.

"Now all they need is a family."
