Elkhart County swim school offers swim lessons

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- A new swim school in Elkhart County has opened up in a very unusual place.
The Shephard Swim School is located in the Parkview Strip Mall off County Road 17.
The owner said she simply grew out of her backyard.
"I was teaching 500 kids in the summer, so we kind of outgrew our backyard pool," said Kari Shephard. "It's so funny everybody walks in here and says there really is a pool in here."
The school offers classes for all ages.
And the school is one of two in the entire state that is a member of the U.S. Swim Association.
The grand opening is Saturday.
