Elkhart deputies investigating early morning robbery

The Elkhart County Sheriff's Department is investigating a robbery that happened early Thursday morning. The victim was injured in the robbery.

The sheriff's department is asking for the public's help in identifying the two suspects.

The robbery happened at approximately 5:12 a.m. in the 22000 block of Pine Arbor Drive.

The victim, a 36-year-old man, told deputies he walked out of his house and towards his parked vehicle when he was approached by two men in a pickup truck.

Both suspects approached the victim and one of the suspects had a handgun and demanded money.

The suspects took money and a bracelet from the victim, struck him, then fled in the pickup truck, deputies said.

The victim was taken to the hospital with pain to his shoulder and wrist.

The suspects were described as two males wearing hooded sweatshirts, jeans and black ski masks.
