ELKHART, Ind. -- Hundreds of people lined the streets of Elkhart this afternoon to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
The city's annual Memorial Day parade started on Harrison Street, making its way along Main Street, and ending on Lexington Avenue.
The organizer said turnout was great, even with the threat of rain, with lots of kids waving American flags, and people on floats tossing candy to the crowd.
A bugler who was part of today's parade says most people around the world don't have the same privileges as Americans.
The theme of Elkhart's parade today was "Heroes Among Us".
