ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- The Elkhart County Homicide Unit is investigating the death of a man who was found unresponsive in the 400 block of South Main Street in Elkhart earlier this morning.
At approximately 7:08 a.m. a person flagged down an officer from the Elkhart Police Department to report an unresponsive man near 419 South Main Street.
Officers and First Responders were then dispatched to the area, where the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Per protocol, The Elkhart County Homicide Unit was activated and is actively handling the investigation.
The name of the victim is being withheld at this time, awaiting the notification of family.
