Elkhart Jazz Festival entertains community

ELKHART, Ind. — The Elkhart Jazz Festival saw good weather Friday night and that trend should continue through Saturday.

The festival means big business for local restaurants and shops, but also serves as a community event that doesn't cost patrons a large amount of money.

"A lot of people within the community in Elkhart have really bonded together in terms of doing a lot of outside activity," said Elkhart Jazz Festival volunteer Phil Miller. "So when people come downtown they have a lot to choose from, which is great."

The festival will draw in thousands of visitors. Performers from more than 40 states will entertain guests of all ages.

The festival runs through Sunday.
