Elkhart joins in on "Occupy" protests

ELKHART, Ind.--The “Occupy Wall Street” movement is thriving in Michiana.

Elkhart joined in Monday night. They told ABC 57 they've been at Civic Plaza on Main Street in Elkhart, since Saturday, and they don't plan on leaving any time soon.

“There are certain legalities involved but they tried to charge us $ 50 a day for electricity here and we only have you know, two or three laptops hooked up and a webcam that feeds live with South Bend,” said Allen Halfterty.

Protestors say they don't understand why they've been getting a lot of hassle about being there. They say they are all about going viral, and keeping connected via social networking sites like Facebook.
