Elkhart Police need help identifying suspects using counterfeit cash

Elkhart Police are searching for two suspects who used counterfeit cash to make a purchase at a gas station.

Police say on May 19 at approximately 8:30 p.m., the two men entered the Phillips 66 on West Lexington Avenue and made a purchase using counterfeit currency.

Suspect 1

  • White male
  • 18 to 25 years old
  • 5’5 to 5’8
  • 120 to 150 pounds
  • Brown hair
  • Wearing an orange coat with a “Heat” shirt underneath.

Suspect 2

  • White male
  • 18 to 25 years old
  • 5’5 to 5’8
  • 125 to 150 pounds
  • Brown hair
  • Wearing a white shirt with khaki shorts

The suspects were driving a white Chevy Impala.
