Elkhart Sports Hall of Famer and friend to the community, Floyd Trosper, has passed away
ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. - Michiana's Floyd Trosper, a longtime Michiana school principal, a Goshen High School All American and veteran football coach, has passed away.

The New Prairie Cougars Touchdown Club took to Facebook to announce his passing, his impact on the community and his memory that will live on in our hearts.
His granddaughter, Logan Marie Kankel called Papa Floyd "a man of pure charisma," as commenters added their condolences and personal anecdotes of how he impacted their lives.
Trosper played football at Western Michigan University and is in the Elkhart County Sports Hall of Fame.
His versatility as an athlete allowed him to receive 10 letters in three sports during his high school career at Goshen High School, including track where he held the school record, at one time, for the pole vault.
After his sports career, Floyd gave back to his community by working as a New Prairie High School football coach administrator for 16 years and an administrator for Jimtown for 18 years.
Floyd was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer four weeks ago, according to his son, Brad Trosper.
He requested not to a have a funeral, but a celebration of life instead.
