Elkhart teen killed in car accident identified

ELKHART, Ind.-- We are learning new details tonight about the car accident that claimed the life of a high school student on her way to school yesterday.
The student has been identified as 16-year-old Maria Ramirez.
She was taken to Elkhart General Hospital after the accident where she later died.
The driver of the car she was in was also taken to the hospital.
There is no word on his condition tonight.
