EMU student found dead near campus

YPSILANTI, Mich. -- A community is in mourning after the death of an Eastern Michigan University student.
Julia Niswender, 23, was found dead in an apartment complex just a few hundred feet from campus. Police went to the apartment after a suitemate reported not having seen her for several days.
No word on how she died, but police are calling it a homicide. A suspect has not been named.
