SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Clubhouse of the Erskine Park Golf Course reopened on Tuesday after undergoing a 1.2 million dollar renovation project.
The renovations were made as a part of the “My South Bend Parks and Trails” initiative in which upgrades were made to parks, trails and riverfronts in the area.
The clubhouse can now hold various events such as weddings and graduation parties.
Aaron Perri, the Executive Director of Venues, Parks and Arts, says that the new clubhouse will be helpful in accommodating for large events.
“This allows kind of another south side amenity,” Perri said. “The number of stories we’ve heard about weddings, and proms, and birthday parties and celebrations like that. We hope those types of things once again take place here at Erskine.”
The renovations allow the clubhouse to hold up to 200 guests.
