Facebook debuts new phone

Facebook broke down another barrier Thursday when they debuting the Facebook phone.

No longer just a mobile app, the social media site is expanding into software that is available on android phones.

It is different than the Facebook app already on your phone because the phone's home screen is customizable and gives users instant access to their profiles and Instagram.

"I think Facebook still thinks that it's very youth oriented with young people updating their status all the time and really connecting that way," said Jessica Dolcourt, CNet senior editor.

Facebook says it will update the home software once a month.

Following the big announcement, Facebook stock jumped.
