FACT: Video shows officer had lights activated before fatal crash

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- The St. Joseph County Fatal Crash Team provided an update in the investigation into Friday's fatal crash involving a South Bend Police officer at the intersection of Kaley and Western.
The crash happened at approximately 4:33 a.m. at the intersection.
Erica Flores, 22, died as a result of the crash.
FACT says they have recovered evidence, including a video of the crash that shows the officer's lights were activated before the crash.
Representatives with the St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office and FACT met with Flores' family and their attorney to discuss the case and the preliminary findings, including the video.
After speaking with Flores' family, FACT will not be releasing the video depicting the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
