Family and friends remember teenage shooting victim

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Thursday night Family and friends gathered at the park where 19-year-old Cornell Taylor was shot and killed to remember his life.

"I didn't expect my son's life to be taken this way or this early," said Falana McLeod, Cornell's mother.

McLeod had a very strong message for the rest of Michiana, something she can now speak to from personal experience.

"Since his death, there's been more deaths, and we just need to stop this, it's been ugly out. We're not going to get anywhere with the violence, we need to stop it," says McLeod.

Police are still searching for suspect 18-year-old Shyheem Jones.
