FEMA approves Disaster Declaration, funding for Marshall County
MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. -- The Federal Emergency Management Agency announced on Wednesday that federal disaster assistance is available to the state of Indiana to help recovery efforts in the areas affected by severe storms, straight-line winds, tornadoes and flooding from March 30 to April 9.
"I just finished speaking with the Governor Mike Braun, of the Great State of Indiana, which I won BIG in 2016, 2020, and 2024. We are approving $15.1 Million Dollars for severe flooding and tornados, which took place in the early Spring," President Donald Trump said on social media.
"I know the State, under the leadership of Mike Braun, will make a rapid recovery!"
Public Assistance federal funding is now officially available to the state, tribal and eligible local governments and certain private nonprofit organizations on a cost-sharing basis for emergency work and the repair and replacement of facilities damaged by the severe storms, straight-line winds, tornadoes and flooding in multiple counties.
