Fighting Irish announce 2026 football schedule

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The University of Notre Dame announced the Fighting Irish's 2026 football schedule for the regular season on Friday.

The season will kick off with the Shamrock Series game against Wisconsin at Lambeau Field and end in Syracuse, N.Y. against the Orange.

This year, the Irish will take on three Big Ten opponents and six ACC members plus games against Navy, Rice, and the Big 12’s BYU.

The 2026 schedule is as follows:

  • Sept. 6 - Wisconsin (Shamrock Series) - Green Bay, Wis. Lambeau Field
  • Sept. 12 - Rice - Home Game
  • Sept. 19 - Michigan State - Home Game
  • Sept. 26 - at Purdue - West Lafayette, Ind. - Ross-Ade Stadium
  • Oct. 3 - at North Carolina - Chapel Hill, N.C. - Kenan Memorial Stadium
  • Oct. 10 - Stanford - Home Game
  • Oct. 17 - at BYU Provo, Utah - LaVell Edwards Stadium
  • Oct. 24 - Bye Week                                                    
  • Oct. 31 - at Navy - Foxborough, Mass. - Gillette Stadium
  • Nov. 7 - Miami - Home Game
  • Nov. 14 - Boston College - Home Game
  • Nov. 21 - SMU - Home Game
  • Nov. 28 - at Syracuse - Syracuse, N.Y. - JMA Wireless Dome
