Firefighter discovers crashed vehicle on Adams Road

KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. -- A firefighter responding to an unrelated emergency on EMS R4 Lane located a vehicle that had crashed into a tree on Adams Road, according to the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Office.

The crash happened around 11:20 a.m. Tuesday.

The driver, 25-year-old Jacob Schlichter, was traveling northbound on Adams when his vehicle left the roadway while traveling through a curve and struck a tree, deputies said.

Schlichter was taken to the hospital for a non-critical leg injury, deputies said.

The crash remains under investigation.

This crash was a short distance from a rollover crash that happened at 9 a.m. on CR 850 E near Adams Road.
